YOU’RE INVITED TO THE GRRRLIZM LAUNCH PARTY & PRINT FAIR!
COMMON, 39-41 EDGE STREET, MANCHESTER, M4 1HW
13TH MARCH 6PM – LATE
The party will be held in March in celebration of Women’s History Month and the 100th year of women receiving partial voting rights! You can purchase the Grrrlizm Zine issue one: Womanhood as well as artwork by female creatives on the night.
Profits from the Grrrlizm Zine will be donated to the Pankhurst Trust and Women’s Aid, who support survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. The Pankhurst centre is the former home of Emmeline Pankhurst and the birthplace of the Suffragette movement. It is an iconic building with political significance and memorabilia that is active in helping women in the community today. The centre is run by volunteers and supported through donations with no public funding. In celebration of the Suffragette’s accomplishments, we aim to raise money and awareness of the centre as well as issues that still affect women today.
This is a FREE event and EVERYBODY is welcome! However, we ask our guests to donate sanitary products that we can donate to Every Month, a charity supporting homeless women. Alternatively, you can drop some change in our donation bucket!
